Aimsun wins partner appreciation award from Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre

We are thrilled to receive a partner appreciation award from His Excellency Abdulla Al Marzooqi, the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre (ITC).
Paul Glover, Managing Director for Aimsun in the Middle East, accepted the award on behalf of the Aimsun team at the partner appreciation ceremony last week.
The award was given in recognition of Aimsun’s work on Analytics as a Service, which provides services & data analytics to support ITC’s internal and external stakeholders. Through Analytics as a Service, Aimsun is using big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to help ITC Abu Dhabi extract additional value from its billions of records of transport, travel and socio-economic data in the Data Warehouse.

The AaaS platform uses the ITC datasets available through the STEAM+ framework to develop a holistic view of the Abu Dhabi Transport network, enabling information to be turned into insights and intelligence for improved (data driven) decision making.
An Award-Winning Team
Aimsun has already carried out award-winning work for ITC Abu Dhabi with the innovative Hybrid Simulation Model (HSM), which extends ITC’s modelling capabilities to allow more detailed analysis of any part of the transportation network across the Emirate.
Further projects with ITC Abu Dhabi are already underway, including optimization of road works and construction management, which will enhance the process by which permits are applied for, reviewed, modified, and approved.
As Aimsun activity ramps up in the Middle East, our new office, located in the Abu Dhabi World Trade Centre, is offering valuable on-the-ground support to local clients and partners. This new branch is a key part of Aimsun’s long-term goal of closing the gap between simulation software and services, to offer end-to-end digital solutions globally.
