Principal Transport Modeller / Project Manager, Paris

Location: Partially based in the Aimsun office in Paris, combined with remote working and the option of flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Actively manage transport modelling projects for public and private sector clients, ensuring delivery aligns with Aimsun’s project governance processes. 
  •  Technical Delivery: Support the development and application of transport models using Aimsun Next and other modelling tools, including tasks such as model building, calibration/validation, testing, auditing, and analysis of outputs. 
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure successful project outcomes and identify future opportunities. 
  • Reporting & Proposals: Interpret data and prepare clear, high-quality technical reports and proposals for clients.
  • Innovation: Contribute to Aimsun Live and Aimsun Solutions projects as part of a multidisciplinary global team. 
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, including line management responsibilities, to develop technical skills and career potential. 
  • Compliance: Adhere to Aimsun’s policies, processes, and guidelines relevant to your role. 

Must-haves:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Geography, Mathematics, Sciences, or Data Science/Computing. 
  • Proven experience in project management and governance. 
  • Strong technical background in transport modelling, ideally with Aimsun Next (experience with other modelling software also considered). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (both essential for client-facing work). 
  • Team leadership and mentoring experience. 

Nice-to-haves:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Geography, Mathematics, Sciences, or Data Science/Computing.
  • Additional languages provided there is a strong command.
  • Coding/programming skills (e.g., Python, C++, or scripting for automation).
Researcher, Barcelona

Responsibilities & tasks:

  • Collaborate with the Delivery team to execute research projects efficiently, in line with our project management framework.
  • Manage smaller projects and/or work packages within larger projects, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and budgets are met.
  • Perform R&D activities, including simulation using Aimsun software, study design, analysis, and occasional software coding or model building.
  • Prepare and review project specifications, reports, and publications (conference and journal).
  • Represent Aimsun at project meetings, conferences, and industry forums, presenting project work as required.
  • Contribute to and, when needed, lead Aimsun’s involvement in bids for EU-funded and other research projects.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across research, commercial, and internal projects to strengthen the Delivery team´s expertise.
  • Adhere to QMS policies, processes, guidelines, and procedures relevant to your work and workplace.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Effective project management skills to handle concurrent research and project activities under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in developing and prototyping new methods, concepts, and models for Aimsun software solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing and presenting technical reports, and engaging with project stakeholders
  • Strong coding skills in Python and/or C++
  • Knowledge of European/national research funding programs

Must-Haves:

  • Over 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • MSc in Civil/Traffic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Science, or related field 
  • Experience in R&D of new concepts and models, ideally in traffic and transport domain
  • Prior experience with project administration, management, or proposal writing for research funded projects

Nice-to-Haves:

IT Infrastructure and Security Specialist, Barcelona

We are looking for an  IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist to join our team in Barcelona

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving Aimsun’s IT infrastructure and delivering high-quality support to internal users.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of managed systems and services
  • Manage and secure Aimsun’s IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud)
  • Implement and promote best practices in IT and cybersecurity
  • Provide technical support to employees across platforms
  • Oversee perimeter and identity security
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on IT-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with information security, environmental, and workplace safety standards
  • Lead and maintain ISO 27001 certification and ongoing compliance
  • Conduct security audits, penetration testing, and incident response
  • Manage SSL/TLS certificates and other security assets
  • Contribute actively to process improvements and IT strategy
  • Respond to security incidents and assessments

Senior Manager, Product Sales Growth & Strategic Partnerships, Barcelona

We are looking for a strategic partnerships builder and sales leader to define, lead, and own Aimsun’s global product sales growth and alliances function.

You’ll shape how we collaborate with strategic partners, distributors, and enterprise clients to expand our market presence, accelerate pipeline growth, and drive long-term commercial impact in urban mobility and transportation innovation.  

This role reports directly to the Global Head of Growth, operating within the company’s global Sales team.

Skills & Must-Haves:

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales and partnership leadership, ideally within global, complex, and evolving sales environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or related discipline
  • Proven background inbusiness development and new client acquisition, with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. 
  • Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives, withexpertise in solution selling, value-based negotiation, and complex deal structuring.  
  • Industry fluencyin mobility, smart cities, or digital infrastructure, with a clear understanding of how partnerships drive ecosystem value.  
  • Strategic and commercial acumen: Ability to lead complex negotiations, build custom partnership models, andidentify win-win opportunities. 
  • Product mindset: Comfortable working with product and engineering teams to design scalable integrations.
  • Operational rigor: Skilled in building scalable processes, defining KPIs, andoptimizing outreach tools and CRM systems. 
  • Cross-functional leadership: Proven ability to work across departments to bring partnerships and campaigns to life.
  • Execution drive: A self-starter who thrives in building from scratch and navigating ambiguity.Entrepreneurial drive and commercial curiosity, thriving in environments where growth requires creativity, resilience, and continuous improvement. 
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills,Fluency in English required; Spanish or another international language is highly valued.
