Current positions available
Reporting to the Global Head of Business Development and the Regional Managing Director, the Regional Head of Business Development will be responsible for developing and delivering Aimsun’s France sales growth.
By developing and delivering the regional business development plan via short-, medium-, and long-term initiatives, the role is pivotal in delivering Aimsun’s commercial goals. Core aspects of the plan will include building strong client and partner relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating, and managing the sales process for lead generation to project closure.
Responsibilities:
- Direct sales and Business Development (BD) activities
- Developing the market potential for Aimsun Digital Mobility Solutions, focusing on private sectors (transportation, logistics, Smart Cities, etc.)
- Aimsun’s Order Intake in the region
- Preparing Order Intake, revenue forecasts, and market analysis
- Developing, maintaining, and executing the approved Regional Business Development Plan
- Developing and managing strong relationships and high satisfaction with current and potential clients/partners
- Ensuring Aimsun’s sales pipeline and revenue forecasts (Salesforce) are current and accurate
- Developing and maintaining contact lists and leads records (Salesforce)
- Overall quality of bids/commercial offers
- Successful contractual negotiations as required
- Supporting the Global Head of Business Development in global initiatives
- Supporting the France Managing Director in regional initiatives
- Contributing to global forums, workshops, and events (virtual or face-to-face) as required
- Leading CRM initiatives
- Facilitating internal investment cases to meet client and market needs
- Contributing to pre-and post-sales activities, including customer satisfaction surveys, case studies and client references
- Manage Business Development assistant with high levels of integrity, as required
- Maintaining high ethical and moral standards of the Aimsun brand
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering schools
- A relevant degree, qualification, or experience within ITS / Transportation-related field (this is an advantage)
- 10+ years of business development experience with proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Experience in the B2B French market (transportation & logistics market)
- Experience with local public communities (this is an advantage)
- Sales exposure to new technologies (software/consulting/professional services), ITS solutions or Aimsun software solutions
- Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, colleagues, and external partners
- Proficiency in public authority tendering and procurement processes
- Ability to undertake detailed and accurate analysis of market data and to synthesise and justify strategies and solutions that will be of economic benefit to the company

Responsibilities
- Active Project Management of Modelling and Solutions projects across the Aimsun portfolio. Align project delivery and performance with Aimsun’s Project Management processes.
- Support with the delivery of a wide range of transport modelling tasks on projects undertaken using Aimsun Next (for a range of private and public sector clients).
- Undertake transport model development with tasks including but not limited to model building, calibration/validation, model testing and auditing, checking and analysis of model outputs.
- Undertake client Support (as required) for Aimsun Next Licence Holders.
- Assist in the delivery of Aimsun Live/Solutions projects working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team. As part of your role, you may be asked to provide first-line support on Live/Solutions Projects.
- Interpretation of data and information, including preparation of technical reports and proposals for clients
- Develop and foster strong client relationships, to ensure effective project delivery and future work winning.
- Support junior team members and assist them to develop their technical skills/potential (opportunity to Line Manage junior staff)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead Aimsun’s Professional Services team in the Middle East. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Lead Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of our project portfolio across the region. We are looking for a motivated self-starter with proven Middle East project delivery experience, in the transport industry. - Work closely with the Regional MD and Regional Head of Business Development to deliver against regional targets and goals.
- Manage the Professional Services team in region, to optimise resources and project delivery in a timely and effective manner. Work with other global leads to effectively share resources globally.
- Manage the portfolio of projects in the region and fulfill Project Manager/Project Director roles across a wide range of multi-disciplinary digital solutions projects.
- Develop and foster strong client relationships (through project delivery), to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure that all proposals and projects undertaken in your region follow Aimsun’s Project/Quality Management processes and meet technical and commercial expectations.
- Ensure that all projects delivered in the region adhere to client project control requirements and contractual obligations
- To lead and develop the staff in your team to help them meet their goals/achievements. Work with the Global Head of Professional Service and line managers within your team, to identify staff training needs and to assist in staff recruitment.

Aimsun is looking for a Transport Modeller Intern to support new projects located in France. Under the direction of the Regional Head of Professional Services, the Intern will be involved in transport modelling projects (static and dynamic and will participate in the definition and monitoring of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support with the delivery of a wide range of transport modelling tasks on projects undertaken using Aimsun Next (for a range of private and public sector clients)
- Undertake transport model development with tasks including model building, calibration/ validation, model testing and auditing, checking and analysis of model outputs
- Assist in the delivery of Aimsun Live/Solutions projects working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team
Skills required:

Our Professional Services team in Barcelona seeks experienced transport modelling professionals for a full-time position. You’ll be supporting and delivering some of the industry’s most innovative and dynamic projects. This role involves supporting and enhancing an industry-leading software by developing an in-depth understanding of the tool and applying your analytical and innovative skills.
Responsibilities for Associate Transport Modeller:
- Support with the delivery of a wide range of transport modelling tasks on projects undertaken using Aimsun Next (for a range of private and public sector clients).
- Undertake transport model development with tasks including but not limited to model building, calibration/validation, model testing and auditing, checking and analysis of model outputs.
- Assist in the delivery of Aimsun Live/Solutions projects working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team. As part of your role, you may be asked to provide first-line support on Live/Solutions Projects.
- Interpretation of data and information, including preparation of technical reports and proposals for clients
- Work with your line manager to ensure that you are receiving the appropriate training and skills development.
Responsibilities for Transport Modeller:
- Work in a team environment to deliver Aimsun models and services to public and private clients in a timely and resource-efficient manner
- Work in a cross-functional collaborative environment to scope and deploy Aimsun Live decision support systems for major cities and/or highway corridors
- Using analytical approach, assess and provide input into and administer quality management processes
