We’re pleased to announce that Ian McCarthy has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Aimsun.
Ian succeeds Alexandre Torday, who was with the company for two decades, and whose contributions have laid the foundation for this next chapter. We extend our sincere thanks to Alexandre for his dedication and leadership.
Ian brings deep experience and a strong track record in operations, planning, investment prioritisation and delivery of transport services and infrastructure.

Prior to this role, Ian served as Managing Director of Aimsun Australia, where he led regional growth and delivery across complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Underscoring his commitment to the role, Ian has relocated from Sydney to Barcelona, which is the site of Aimsun’s head office.
