The Aimsun Webinar Series offers a deep dive into traffic simulation, mobility management, and real-time predictive solutions.
The series spans six sessions, all co-hosted by Alan Quek, our Head of Business Development in South East Asia. You can attend as many sessions as you like and they’re all completely free.
21st Nov 2024: Webinar 1 – The most powerful features of Aimsun Next transport modelling and simulation software
23rd Jan 2025: Webinar 2 – Simulating adaptive traffic control systems in Aimsun Next
20th Mar 2025: Webinar 3 – Beyond software: Aimsun standard and custom solutions
22nd May 2025: Webinar 4 – Aimsun Real-time Mobility Solutions in Practice
24th Jul 2025: Webinar 5 – The future of multimodal traffic management

Thursday 21st November
16:00 – 17:00 (Singapore) / 08:00 – 09:00 (London)
An overview of the main features of Aimsun Next transport modelling software.
Webinar format:
A key strength of Aimsun Next transport simulation software is its ability to connect and emulate adaptive traffic signal controls. This supports cities operating at or near capacity by helping them to improve their existing assets, manage operational risks and increase efficiency – all from a single platform.
Location: Online, Microsoft Teams
Date: Thursday 23rd January
Duration: 60 minutes
Start time: 08:00 London; 09.00 Barcelona; 12:00 Abu Dhabi; 15:00 Bangkok, Jakarta; 16.00 Singapore; 17:00 Seoul.
Answering your questions in real time in the Q&A section, we have Aimsun experts Martin Hartmann, Dimitris Triantafyllos and Mohammad ‘Saif’ Saifuzzaman.
Program:
Alan Quek will introduce Aimsun Next software and then Timothy Lim will demonstrate how Aimsun Next signal interfaces work, such as SCOOT, SCATS, Yutraffic FUSION, and STREAMS.
Timothy will then cover use cases for actuated control, such as optimising intersections and corridors, designing new intersections, construction management, smart corridor upgrades, ramp meter assessment, transit priority, and event planning.
We’ll round off with some real-life project examples from the cities of Sydney, Perth, Prague and Kolkata.
Thursday 20th March
16:00 – 17:00 (Singapore) / 08:00 – 09:00 (London)
Aimsun expert, Martin Hartmann, goes beyond pure Aimsun Next transport simulation software to show you Aimsun’s next-level mobility solutions.
Webinar format:
Thursday 22nd May
16:00 – 17:00 (Singapore) / 09:00 – 10:00 (London)
How do real-time traffic management and decision making tools support more efficient traffic operations?
We’ll look at how real-time data analytics can boost the power of your predictions, including examples from urban and interurban deployments. When you add simulation to Aimsun Predict, you get Aimsun Live. We’ll demonstrate how Aimsun Live decision support system has benefitted various clients around the world.
Webinar format:
Thursday 24th July
16:00 – 17:00 (Singapore) / 09:00 – 10:00 (London)
This webinar switches focus from modeling private vehicles to other modes.
This webinar focuses on how Aimsun solutions support car-lite initiatives such as public transport networks (buses, trains, etc), pedestrianisation, bike lanes, mobility on demand, etc.
Webinar format:
Thursday 25th September
16:00 – 17:00 (Singapore) / 09:00 – 10:00 (London)
Based on findings from the CONDUCTOR research project, this webinar focuses on the critical interaction between automated and conventional vehicles. We’ll pay special attention to how traffic management systems deal with the gradual transition to CCAM vehicles on the road, with some real-world demonstrations.
