Aimsun 8 introduces four new control statistics for turns:

1. Green Percentage
2. Red Percentage
3. Effective Green (in seconds)
4. Effective Red (in seconds)

You can now not only consult the statistics but also see them using your preferred view style.
Aimsun 8 has a new feature called ‘Diagram View Style’ which allows you to customise your view styles using objects like histograms, stacked histograms, pie charts etc.
For example, if you want to incorporate a pie chart showing the red and green percentages at each turn, the result is the view mode shown in Figure 2.
You can obtain the pie chart view style shown in Figure 2 using the settings in the Main dialog box shown below in Figure 3.

Tessa Hayman explains that when appraising schemes, it can be useful to understand how different schemes may interact with each other. This can help you understand any potential synergy between schemes and identify a subset of scenarios to test with fully detailed modelling.
