New release: Aimsun Next 8.4.1 ready for download

Released on October 7, 2019, Aimsun Next 8.4.1 is now ready for you to download. In addition to the usual bug fixes, the new version features the following new Fast Track features:

  • New ACC and an CACC car-following in microscopic experiments
  • We’ve added the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control (CACC) car-following models for autonomous and/or connected vehicles. Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control (CACC) car-following model

  • Point-to-point path calculation (A*) for meso DUE experiments
  • The A* algorithm that calculates paths point-to-point instead of calculating shortest path trees is now available to improve the performance of meso DUE simulations when using sparse demand matrices.

  • Real Data Set consistency checker
  • We’ve added a set of verifications to evaluate the quality of the real data for individual records (i.e. detected speeds over speed limits), congestion values identification or spatial data checks (i.e. inconsistencies upstream/downstream).

The Fast Track features above are available to users with a SUS valid in September 2019.

For those whose Software Upgrade Subscription (SUS) was valid on or after January 2019, you’ll be able to enjoy all the bug fixes and non Fast Track improvements in Aimsun 8.4.1, including the ability to import multiple Sitraffic intersections and simulate multiple controllers.

We wish you all the best with Aimsun Next 8.4.1!
