Aimsun is a collaborator on the next generation traffic management platform Sitraffic Symphony

Yunex Traffic has unveiled Sitraffic Symphony, its next generation traffic management platform.

 

Sitraffic Symphony leads cities and municipalities beyond traditional traffic management by also allowing operators to optimize for air quality and public transportation. The intelligent system offers cities a secure platform for development, deployment, and operations, while providing easy integration of external data sources and third-party applications as well as easily sharing data.

 

The Role of Aimsun Live

As the traffic management interaction point for traffic operators, Sitraffic Symphony integrates and controls the Aimsun Live solution for data-centric and simulation-based traffic monitoring and prediction.

 

The Aimsun Live module, using real-time data from Symphony as well as external data sources, delivers information about the current and predicted traffic states with a rolling horizon of 60 minutes as well as supporting the simulation of different traffic strategies. This improves operators’ decision making and opens up new possibilities, such as incorporating network-wide emissions modeling as a step towards truly environmentally-sensitive traffic management. Operators can also easily coordinate traffic management strategies with public transport operations to increase capacity and reliability for all travelers.
