Webinar 2

Simulating adaptive traffic control systems in Aimsun Next

A key strength of Aimsun Next transport simulation software is its ability to connect and emulate adaptive traffic signal controls. This supports cities operating at or near capacity by helping them to improve their existing assets, manage operational risks and increase efficiency – all from a single platform.

Location: Online, Microsoft Teams

Date: Thursday 23rd January

Duration: 60 minutes

Start time: 08:00 London; 09.00 Barcelona; 12:00 Abu Dhabi; 15:00 Bangkok, Jakarta; 16.00 Singapore; 17:00 Seoul.

Host

Alan Quek
Regional Head of Business Development,
Aimsun Singapore

Technical presenter

Tim Lim
Head of Professional Services,
Aimsun Australia

Answering your questions in real time in the Q&A section, we have Aimsun experts Martin Hartmann, Dimitris Triantafyllos and Mohammad ‘Saif’ Saifuzzaman.

Program:

Alan Quek will introduce Aimsun Next software and then Timothy Lim will demonstrate how Aimsun Next signal interfaces work, such as SCOOT, SCATS, Yutraffic FUSION, and STREAMS.

Timothy will then cover use cases for actuated control, such as optimising intersections and corridors, designing new intersections, construction management, smart corridor upgrades, ramp meter assessment, transit priority, and event planning.

We’ll round off with some real-life project examples from the cities of Sydney, Perth, Prague and Kolkata.
