Our Professional Services team in Barcelona seeks experienced transport modelling professionals for a full-time position. You’ll be supporting and delivering some of the industry’s most innovative and dynamic projects. This role involves supporting and enhancing an industry-leading software by developing an in-depth understanding of the tool and applying your analytical and innovative skills.
Responsibilities for Associate Transport Modeller:
- Support with the delivery of a wide range of transport modelling tasks on projects undertaken using Aimsun Next (for a range of private and public sector clients).
- Undertake transport model development with tasks including but not limited to model building, calibration/validation, model testing and auditing, checking and analysis of model outputs.
- Assist in the delivery of Aimsun Live/Solutions projects working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team. As part of your role, you may be asked to provide first-line support on Live/Solutions Projects.
- Interpretation of data and information, including preparation of technical reports and proposals for clients
- Work with your line manager to ensure that you are receiving the appropriate training and skills development.
Responsibilities for Transport Modeller:
- Work in a team environment to deliver Aimsun models and services to public and private clients in a timely and resource-efficient manner
- Work in a cross-functional collaborative environment to scope and deploy Aimsun Live decision support systems for major cities and/or highway corridors
- Using analytical approach, assess and provide input into and administer quality management processes
- Develop and review project-based reports and technical specification documentation
- Provide support to Aimsun users both locally and globally
Must-Haves:
- Relevant Degree (or equivalent), in an associated discipline. (e.g. Engineering, Geography, Mathematics, Silences, Data Science/Computing)
- Coding/programming skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- 1-2 years of experience in traffic modelling and/or transport planning
- EU citizenship or Spanish work permit
Nice-to-Haves:
- 4-6 years of experience in traffic modelling and/or transport planning
- Experience with Aimsun Next transport modelling software (and/or other modelling software)
- Project management
- Other language skills, including French, Spanish, German, Chinese
