We are delighted to announce that this year the Aimsun Users’ Meeting will take place on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th of September 2012. On Wednesday 5th September we will be giving a one-day course on four-step modelling with Aimsun 8.
We will be hosting the meeting at the Royal HaskoningDHV headquarters in the beautiful city of Amersfoort in the Netherlands, a 45-minute train ride from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
The first day of the meeting is dedicated to presentations from our worldwide community of users. This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your work and projects with Aimsun! Hoping to repeat the success of previous years, we look forward to receiving presentation abstracts from all users who would like to present their projects with Aimsun and we are happy to offer presenters a generous discount on the attendance fee. If you are an Aimsun user and would like the opportunity to present a project or case study at the meeting, please contact email@example.com for further information.
The second day will feature a range of TSS and partner presentations. We will give you a sneak peek of the new features included in Aimsun 8 and present various other new developments in Aimsun. We will also tell you all about some of the major projects we are working on in TSS around the world and present an overview of other present activities. The closing session of the meeting will be dedicated to your feedback and future requirements.
The training course will also be held in the Royal HaskoningDHV offices in Amersfoort on Wednesday, 5th September and will focus on “Four-step modelling with Aimsun 8”. Aimsun 8 covers the classic transportation planning four-step model: trip generation, distribution, modal split and assignment – macroscopic modelling in Aimsun 8 supports travel demand modelling offering a wide range of statistical and graphical outputs. This course aims to give an overview of these new features and developments.
