Alexandre Torday will be giving a presentation on Multi-tier modelling: the ideal framework for large-scale networks (Session 1, 1-2.50pm) at the AITPM Transport Modelling Workshop. The event is a half-day seminar held at the Kirribilli Club in Lavender Bay on 22nd May 2012 from 12.30-5.50pm.
The workshop aims to look the complexities of modelling congested transport networks and particularly at how transport modelling in Sydney conditions has changed as the challenge moves increasingly from how to avoid congested conditions to how to manage them. If crowded and congested conditions are unavoidable, how well do models and modelling techniques represent the conditions that were previously considered to be extreme?
