Training topics

  • Roundabout calibration at microscopic and mesoscopic level
  • Preparing the traffic demand: from a constant demand coming from a planning model, to a time-sliced demand for a dynamic model, using static adjustment, departure adjustment, and dynamic adjustment
  • Future scenarios: coding changes, calculating new paths, calculating the new demand, comparing with the base scenario
  • Assignment algorithms: how they work, how to choose among them, parameters and techniques to facilitate the calculation of reasonable paths, how to check the paths that have been calculated
  • Calibration and validation: how to define a validation criterion, how to process real data to have a set for validation, what outputs to check to validate the model
