We are delighted to invite you to join us for our 13th annual Aimsun Users’ Meeting on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th October 2015.
This year we return to Aimsun’s home city of Barcelona for our annual meeting, where Aimsun users and members of the TSS team will meet for technical sessions, to share their latest experiences, discuss new trends and developments and present case studies.
The meeting will be followed by a one-day Aimsun training course on Wednesday 21st October, to be held near the TSS head office.
So that you can get your flights booked, here are the start and end times for each day:
Note that, depending on numbers, we will arrange a small social get-together or touristic activity for those who are here on Sunday afternoon.
We will be holding the Aimsun Users’ Meeting just a few steps from the TSS head office, at the elegant Hotel Avenida Palace, where we also have arranged special accommodation rates for you (see below in Accommodation).
The venue is located one block above Plaça de Catalunya, which is the city’s main transport hub.
The meeting itself will take place in the spacious, classically decorated Sala Terraza suite, which has all the latest AV and communications equipment.

We encourage all participants to contribute their latest Aimsun studies, research and projects for presentation on day 2 of the AUM. Please send the title and a 200-word abstract before August 30th 2015 to email@example.com. Speakers qualify for generous discounts (see Registration).
Update: All of these slots are now full.
For those in Barcelona on Sunday evening, we have organised a guided tour of the Gothic Quarter. We will meet in the lobby of the Hotel Avenida Palace at 6:30pm. The tour will last about 2-and-a-half hours and will end in the lively Born area, which is full of tapas bars and restaurants.
The participant fee includes:
Wednesday 21st October, Barcelona, 09:00-17:30
This course is titled Working with demand and paths in Aimsun 8.1 and is all about using new functions in Aimsun 8.1 to get the most you possibly can out of integrated modelling.
Your tutor, Paolo Rinelli, will guide you through the methodology and techniques for calibrating the base traffic demand (using static OD adjustment, departure time adjustment and dynamic OD adjustment) and to calculate the base equilibrium paths (using dynamic user equilibrium with incremental load)
Paolo will then show you how to code the future scenario (using geometry configurations) and see how the changes affect the path assignment (using APA fixer and continuing the DUE).

Please note that we will provide the Aimsun license for the course but you will need to bring your own laptop. The course location is:
Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 684, Pral.
