Palazzo degli Affari, Florence (Italy) will be the location for a workshop entitled ?Infomobility and Flexible Transport Services: towards the governance and sustainability in European cities? as part of the AGATA project financed by the European Programme INTERREG IIIB MEDOCC.

Aided by the use of ITS systems and IC technology, integrated and inter-operable technological platforms are currently being developed throughout different cities and metropolitan areas. Through this kind of intervention, cities are moving towards ?info-mobility? scenarios. Flexible transport services (FTS) also form part of this context, and together these require a Multi-Service agency for the coordination of transport services and user info-mobility. The creation of such a centre is the main objective of the AGATA project.

Within this context, the two day workshop hopes to address various aspects of mobility governance in urban and metropolitan areas, the role played by ICT and ITS, and the organizational and operational problems to be solved.

The workshop is orientated towards decision makers and technicians from local administrations, transport companies and city service operators, to sector based experts and IT companies hoping to diversify their production.

TSS has been invited by the Italian transport consultancy CORE to join them in the presentation of traffic solutions to the workshop's attendants.
