TSS is delighted to announce the immediate availability of Aimsun 6.1 with over 20 major new features. The highlight of this release is Legion for Aimsun: a new pedestrian modelling plug-in that is fully integrated inside Aimsun. Using technology by Legion, the provider of choice for pedestrian facility simulation around the world, Legion for Aimsun enables traffic engineers and planners to model how vehicles and pedestrians interact at crossings, public transport (transit) stops and taxi ranks (stands). The insights from modelling can inform important decisions, directly leading to improved public safety, reduced congestion and smoother multi-modal journeys.

Aimsun 6.1 offers numerous improvements to the microscopic and mesoscopic simulators included in the Advanced edition - and is compatible with SCOOTLink and the Aimsun-TRANSYT link developed by Siemens Traffic Solutions and TRL Software, respectively. It is available immediately for download to all licensed users with a valid Software Upgrade Subscription.
