The main objective of the course is to introduce the participants to the key components of the AIMSUN environment which make it a unique fully integrated transport analysis platform. The advanced transport analysis methodology that makes this possible will be discussed, identifying the advantages of the full integration of modelling approaches, and providing a detailed view of the information exchange among models and how it may be used. The course will be completed by the presentation and discussion of practical examples of use of this methodology in real life projects.

• Presentation and discussion of the MACRO-MESO-MICRO transport analysis methodology
• Overview of the MACRO, MESO and MICRO approaches and their implementation in AIMSUN environment
• The exchange of information among the approaches: playing with traversals
• Practicalities: Case studies in the use of the methodology

Location and Dates

This AIMSUN Training Course will be held on the 23rd of May in the Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa, Portugal.

Registration

The fee for the Course is 400 Euro. The registration fee includes instruction, training material, lunch and coffee breaks. For the hands-on exercises, it is advisable that participants bring their own laptops. Registrations received after the deadline will be accepted subject to space being available.
