AIMSUN at TRB 2007

AIMSUN will be present this year at TRB in several sessions and presentations, both from our users and from TSS members. The University of California will present the operational validation of the Oversaturated Freeway Flow Model. They have implemented this new model using the AIMSUN Micro SDK, a development tool that allows researchers to integrate new behavioral models in the AIMSUN Micro simulator. This session will take place during the NGSIM meeting (Sunday January 21st, Marriot hotel, Coolidge room,8:30-12:00 am).

Dr. Jaume Barceló, our scientific director, will present our experiences while developing AIMSUN Online in the presentation ?On-line Microscopic Traffic Simulation with AIMSUN to Support Real-Time Traffic Management Strategies: Case Studies in Europe?. The presentation will take place at the TRB Simulation Workshop. This workshop is listed in the preliminary program as: Simulation Practices, Needs, and Challenges for Corridor Management (Workshop 162), 1:30-5:00 pm on Sunday January 21st, in the Shoreham, Empire room.

Dr. Jaume Barceló has also been invited to make a presentation on how AIMSUN deals with HOT at the Freeway Operation Subcommittee AHB20(2) Meeting on Sunday 21st from 18:00 to 19:00.

Those who could be interested in meeting us for a demonstration of AIMSUN or a discussion on how AIMSUN can model specific scenarios or address special traffic problems, please contact us in advance to make the arrangements.

We look forward to seeing you at TRB 2007.
