AIMSUN NG is a fully integrated suite of traffic and transportation analysis tools. It can be used for transport planning, microscopic traffic simulation, and demand and traffic data analysis. It provides an integrated platform for both static and dynamic modelling.

AIMSUN NG has been designed to slot into your working environment. It can import and manipulate GIS data from several sources (ESRI, Tele Atlas, NAVTEQ...). It reads CAD data and bitmaps to simplify editing and enhance project presentation. It can translate data from other applications (EMME/2, CONTRAM, CUBE and SATURN with more to come). And AIMSUN NG is able to load detection data (both offline from historical databases or online in real time) to be used by the simulator, the planner or the visualization module.

AIMSUN NG is also an extensible software environment whose architecture allows unlimited numbers of components - ones produced by TSS or third party vendors as well as components developed by its users. The user can enjoy as much programming access to AIMSUN NG and customization capabilities as TSS.

AIMSUN PLANNER

Supports the main steps in the 4 step transport planning approach within a single integrated environment. Currently it performs user equilibrium assignment, supports demand analysis and shares its network representation and coherent traffic data with the microscopic simulator. It makes it easy to combine macro and micro analysis, such as detailed simulation of a cordoned sub-network of a larger strategic network.

AIMSUN SERVER

A version without the GUI and accessible via the network, for when faster than real time processing is required (as in a control centre to validate traffic management strategies before applying), including parallel versions of Simulator and Planner.
