The 9th International Conference on Walking will be held at The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) on 8-10 October. The conference aims to promote walking as an inherently efficient, healthy and sustainable mode of transport.
Ian Emslie and Alex Gerodimos representing Legion and TSS at this event will co-present a paper titled “Effective impact assessments using integrated pedestrian and traffic simulation: case studies”.

TSS at the European Transport Conference 2008 in the Netherlands |

The European Transport Conference 2008 (ETC), organised by the Association for European Transport (AET), is the key annual event for European transport researchers and practitioners. This year, the ETC will take place on 6-8 October 2008 at the Leeuwenhorst Conference Centre in The Netherlands.
AET programme committee member Aurore Remy and Alex Torday will represent TSS at this event. In addition, Alex Torday will be presenting a paper titled "Use of Traffic Simulation for Online Traffic Management".

MTO Chooses Aimsun as the Modelling Software for Ambitious Proof-of-Concept |

TSS – Transport Simulation Systems, today announced that the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), Canada has selected Aimsun as the simulation backbone of a proof-of-concept 3-tier (macroscopic, mesoscopic, and microscopic) simulation framework for the 400-series highway network. After an exacting evaluation of eight commercial offerings, the MTO and its consultants Delcan Corporation (Delcan) and McCormick Rankin Corporation (MRC) opted for Aimsun. The project team cited Aimsun’s tightly integrated three-level approach, rich functionality and computational efficiency as the main reasons for their choice.
